The Cottages Once you check in it's just a short, well-paved ride to your cottage in the woods. Follow the drive back 1/4 mile off of the main road, keeping an eye out for our long-horned highland cattle and the majestic red deer stag who live here. As you pull up to the cottage you notice the covered parking and a hose to wash the day's ride off your bike. Park and step inside. You immediately notice the spaciousness that the vaulted ceiling provides combined with the coziness of the gas fireplace. The beautiful knotty pine wainscot was conserved from an old Wisconsin Dells resort. Hang up your leathers and stretch out on the king-size bed (or 2 extra long twins if you prefer) or head into the galley kitchen with its microwave, toaster, refrigerator and coffee maker. Make yourself a cup of complimentary coffee or tea, or grab a bottle of water or juice (also complimentary) from the frig. Hungry after your day's ride? The gas grill is just a few steps outside of the screened-in back porch. We provide silverware, plates, glasses, napkins, some spices and grill utensils - just bring the steaks! Enjoy your meal on the back porch (bug free) and then start a fire in the boulder-lined fire pit. Wood is provided at no charge. After a camp fire then perhaps a soak in the whirlpool tub. There are extra large fluffy towels and a hair dryer for your convenience. Now that you are completely relaxed take some time to look at the vintage motorcycle prints, antique advertising and cycle related posters that adorn the walls. What better way to end this perfect day than to cozy up and watch a movie on the flat screen TV. Bring your own dvd or rent one from our extensive collection. You'll find popcorn, along with some other goodies in the gift basket that is included with your lodging. Fall asleep to the sound of the forest and wake refreshed and ready to enjoy the most beautiful roads in the midwest! |
